Bradshaw Road overpass at I-95 opens ahead of schedule

NOTTINGHAM, MD—The Bradshaw Road overpass at Interstate 95 has reopened to traffic.

The overpass closed for reconstruction in March 2019 and has reopened ahead of its originally scheduled reopening in spring 2020.

The Maryland Transportation Authority thanks local residents and motorists for their patience.

The reconstruction of the Bradshaw Road overpass is part of the expanded Express Toll Lanes (ETL) Northbound Extension Program between MD 43 and north of MD 24.

In addition to the I-95 northbound roadway improvements, the program will replace several bridges that are more than 50 years old and provide new noise walls. The ETL Northbound Extension Program will be completed in multiple segments and is expected to be open to traffic in 2023 through MD 152 and in 2026 through north of MD 24.

Reminder: The Old Joppa Road overpass at I-95 is closed for reconstruction until summer 2020. Traffic on Old Joppa Road is detoured to Mountain Road (MD 152) via Franklinville Road and Philadelphia Road.
