NOTTINGHAM, MD—The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for the overnight hours on Saturday and into Sunday.
The advisory will be in effect from 1 a.m. until noon on Sunday, December 1st.
Freezing rain accumulations of up to a tenth of an inch are expected in northern Baltimore County, northern Harford County, and up to the Pennsylvania border.
Difficult travel conditions are possible.
Forecasters say some sleet may mix in at times late Saturday night or early Sunday morning, but no sleet accumulation is expected.
Motorists should slow down and use caution while traveling.
When venturing outside, citizens should watch their first few steps taken on steps, sidewalks, and driveways, which could be icy and slippery, increasing the risk of a fall and injury.
