ESSEX, MD—Crews are on the scene of a serious, Wednesday evening crash in Essex.

The crash was reported at just after 6:30 p.m. in the area of Route 702 at Eastern Boulevard.

One vehicle flipped over in the crash and one person is trapped in their vehicle.

A rescue operation is currently in progress.

There has been no word on any injuries.
