NOTTINGHAM, MD—Baltimore County Councilman David Marks announced on Friday that new pedestrian/bike warning signs had been installed along Harford Road at the Little Gunpowder Falls near the Harford County.
Councilman Marks made the request after hearing from a constituent.
“You will be happy to know that pedestrian/bike warning signs are now in place along both directions of MD 147,” wrote Maryland State Highway Administration District Engineer Wendy Wolcott.
“The new signs help to alert motorists to share the road with cyclists and to be aware that pedestrians maybe crossing the roadway. The new warning signs are fabricated with highly reflective sheeting material which is visible both during the day and at night. Also, bright orange flags are mounted above the existing warning signs to alert and warn motorists regarding cyclists and pedestrians along the roadway.”
