Elderly man assaulted in Perry Hall road rage incident, Subway on Belair Road robbed

NOTTINGHAM, MD—Police are investigating several local crimes that were reported over the past week.

At around 6:45 a.m. on Friday, October 25, an individual was robbed at gunpoint by an unknown suspect in the 2800-block of Kings Ridge Road in Parkville (21234). The suspect stole the victim’s cash, a wallet containing a driver’s license, credit cards, and a watch. The suspect then fled the scene.



At around 3 p.m. on Friday, an 83-year-old man driving a Ford Focus was making a left turn from Simms Road onto westbound E. Joppa Road (21236) when he hit the right, rear corner of a Chevrolet hatchback that was traveling on westbound on Joppa Road. A 21-year-old male passenger in the Chevrolet (the suspect) exited the vehicle, began yelling at the 83-year-old man, and punched him in the face, according to a witness. The victim was taken to an area hospital due to injuries sustained. Police say the Chevrolet was occupied by three females and the male suspect, who was a passenger.  There has been no update on the victim’s condition or whether charges have been filed against the suspect.

At around 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 26, an individual entered the Subway located in the 8600-block of Belair Road (21236) and ordered a sub. The suspect went up to the register, displayed a handgun, and ordered the manager to put the money from the register into a bag. The suspect then fled with the money and the sub.

At just after 9:45 p.m. on Saturday, two individuals entered the Royal Farms store located in the 8800-block of Philadelphia Road in Rosedale (21237). The suspects then reportedly got into an argument with the manager. During the argument, the suspects went behind the counter and threatened the manager. The suspects stole tobacco products from the shelf before fleeing.
