PNC Bank robbed in Nottingham, officer assaulted in Essex

NOTTINGHAM, MD—Police are investigating a robbery and an assault that were reported over the past week.

At 1:45 p.m. on Friday, October 18, a known individual was arrested on an open arrest warrant in the 1700-block of Langley Road in Essex (21221). During the apprehension, the suspect assaulted a police officer and was also in possession of a felony quantity of heroin. The victim’s stolen jewelry from a previous burglary was also found and returned.



At just 11 a.m. on Monday, October 21, an individual entered the PNC Bank located in the 4900-block of Campbell Boulevard in Nottingham (21236).  The suspect approached the teller, implied that he had a gun, and demanded money. After receiving the money, the suspect fled on foot.
