ESSEX, MD—A soccer player for the CCBC Essex Knights has been named the MDJUCO Soccer Athlete of the Month for September.

Kara Dietrich jump-started the Knights’ offense during the first month of the season, scoring 30 goals (third most in NJCAA Division I during September) and assisting on five others for a total of 67 points.

The Knights went 12-1 and defeated four NJCAA ranked opponents.

Dietrich’s efforts earned her NJCAA Division I Women’s Soccer Player of the Week honors for September 23-29.
