NOTTINGHAM, MD—Could the drought be nearing an end?
The National Weather Service says a “soaking rain” is expected in the Baltimore area on Wednesday.
Rain will move in this morning from the southwest to the northeast.
Areas east of the Blue Ridge Mountains should see an expected 0.50-1.00 inch of rainfall.
The highest rainfall amounts should be over the Baltimore & Washington areas and toward the Chesapeake Bay.
The rain should end by late Wednesday afternoon or early Wednesday evening.
The Baltimore area has been experiencing a “moderate drought” thanks to warm temperatures and a lack of rain.
