ESSEX, MD—Police in Baltimore County are investigating a serious, September assault case after the victim died from his injuries earlier this week.
An autopsy on Friday morning confirmed that the male victim died from multiple head injuries.
The man, identified as William David Johnson Jr., 78, with no fixed address, had been hospitalized at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center since the incident occurred on September 24th.
He died on Sunday morning, October 6th.
Officers responded to the 500-block of Eastern Boulevard in Essex (21221) for a call of an unconscious subject at just after 9 a.m. Tuesday morning, September 24th.
The victim had been struck repeatedly with a blunt object, causing multiple injuries.
No suspect has yet been identified in this case.
