NOTTINGHAM, MD—Police are investigating several crimes that were reported in the Essex & Middle River areas over the past two weeks.
At approximately 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday, September 25, a known individuals and two unknown individuals used a machete to rob another man of a handgun and cash in the area of Marlyn Avenue at Sandalwood Road in Essex (21221). The known suspect was arrested with the handgun on September 27th.
At just after 12:30 a.m. on Monday, September 30, three individuals broke the lock on the front door to an establishment in the 700-block of Concourse Circle in Middle River (21220). The suspects then entered, broke the register drawer, and stole an undisclosed amount of cash before fleeing the scene.
Sometime between Sunday, September 29, and Tuesday, October 1, an individual stole a wheelchair from a detached shed in the 1800-block of Middleborough Road in Essex (21221).
At 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 2, an individual entered a residence in the 900-block of Mace Avenue in Essex (21221) and pried off the locking clasp to the storage shed located beneath the front porch of the dwelling. No property appeared to have been taken.
At just after 1:45 a.m. on Thursday, October 3, two individuals entered a residence in the 900-block of Ashbridge Drive in Essex (21221) and demanded money from the victim. The suspects stole cash from the victim. One suspect was then arrested and the other jumped out of the bedroom window and fled on foot.
At 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 5, a known individual fired shots at the victim’s vehicle in the 100-block of Propeller Drive in Middle River (21220). The suspect fled the scene.
