WHITE MARSH, MD—A woman who was critically injured in a Monday evening motorcycle crash in White Marsh has died.
The crash occurred at just after 7 p.m. when a Volkswagen Jetta attempted to make a left turn onto Allender Road in front of an oncoming motorcycle which struck the front, passenger side of the Jetta.
The adult male driver of the motorcycle suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to a local hospital.
The female passenger on the motorcycle, identified as Ashley Lynn Simpson, 27, of the 7900-block of 35th Street (21218), suffered critical injuries and was taken to MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center where she was later pronounced dead.
The driver of the Jetta was uninjured and remained at the scene.
Police continue to investigate the factors involved in the crash.
