PERRY HALL, MD—The community gathered on Saturday to once again commemorate a fallen hero.
The event was held at Perry Paw Dog Park at Honeygo Run Regional Park, where a plaque was dedicated to the late Officer Amy Caprio.
Officer Caprio was killed in the line of duty on May 21, 2018, while investigating a suspicious vehicle connected to several burglaries in Perry Hall.
All of the teens connected to Officer Caprio’s death have now been sentenced.
On Saturday, County Executive Johnny Olszewski and Councilman David Marks were among those on hand to pay tribute to Amy, as were members of her family.
Perry Paw Dog Park was a fitting location for the newly-erected plaque, as Officer Caprio was very much a dog-lover.
