Police investigating robberies, carjacking in Essex, Middle River

NOTTINGHAM, MD—Police are investigating several local robberies that were reported over the past several days.

At just after 4 p.m. on Wednesday, September 11, six individuals assaulted the victim and took their earphones while on the bus at the school in the 500-block of Stemmers Run Road in Essex (21221). The suspects then fled the scene.

At around 7 p.m. on Wednesday, September 18, two individuals physically assaulted a man and took his wallet in the 8500-block of Loch Raven Boulevard (21286).

At just after 2:15 a.m. on Thursday, September 19, a two people were smoking together in the 100-block of Eastern Boulevard in Essex (21221). The suspect felt the victim’s pockets for money and began pulling the pants off of the victim. The suspect then fled from the location with the pants and cash that was inside them.



At 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, six individuals assaulted a victim with they were sitting on their bike in the 200-block of Ballard Avenue in Middle River (21220). The suspects destroyed the victim’s property, took their bike, then left the location.

At around 2:15 a.m. on Friday, September 20, an individual entered the McDonald’s located in the 3400-block of Eastern Boulevard in Middle River (21220) and stole cash and two packs of hamburger buns. The suspect was later identified and arrested.

At 10:00 p.m. on Friday, three individuals approached another individual who was in a vehicle in the 1500-block of Hyde Park Road in Essex (21221) and asked for money. One of the suspects entered the passenger side of the vehicle and pointed a handgun at the victim. The three suspects fled the scene with the victim’s vehicle.
