ESSEX, MD—Police have arrested and charged an Essex man in connection with a road rage stabbing incident in Dundalk that left four people injured.
Cristian Isaac Cardona Mejia, 24, of the 1000-block of Middlesex Road (21221), has been charged with three counts of attempted first-degree murder, three counts of first-degree assault, and use of a dangerous weapon with intent to injure.
At around 9 p.m. on Monday night, police responded to multiple calls for a stabbing on North Point Road at Merritt Boulevard.
At the scene, officers located four adult males suffering from lacerations. All four were taken to area hospitals with non-life-threatening wounds.
Police determined that two vehicles, a Toyota Corolla and a Toyota pickup truck, were involved in a road rage incident that began on Eastern Boulevard and ended with a confrontation on North Point Road between the driver of the truck and three occupants of the Corolla.
The driver of the truck, now identified as Mejia, produced a utility knife and stabbed the three other men. He also injured himself during the altercation.
Cardona Mejia is currently held on no bail status at the Baltimore County Detention Center pending a bail review hearing.
