NOTTINGHAM, MD – As Hurricane Dorian begins its trek up the east coast, watches are turning to warnings and residents are preparing for the storm’s arrival.
Tens of thousands have already been left without power in Georgia and the Carolinas.
The National Weather Service has issued a Tropical Storm Warning for portions of southern Maryland that were previously under a Tropical Storm Watch.
Strong winds are expected to be confined to southern Maryland & adjacent waters on Friday.
The peak threat for tidal flooding will likely occur on Saturday, after Hurricane Dorian passes by the region.
