FULLERTON, MD – A major water main break in the Fullerton area has forced some businesses to close.
The break was reported on Monday afternoon in the area of Belair Road and Rossville Boulevard.
Councilman David Marks says that several local businesses have been affected, including the Fullerton Pub (which has temporarily closed) and the new Weis on Belair Road in Fullerton.
The Department of Public Works says the break was eroding a potion of the roadway so an emergency shutoff was performed to prevent further damage.
DPW says that an eight-inch main ruptured but that a 24-main was involved in the shutdown.
