Middle River shooting suspected arrested

MIDDLE RIVER, MD – Police in Baltimore County have attested and identified the suspect in connection with a homicide that occurred in the 200-block of Shagbark Road (21220) on August 19th.

Deontae Maurice Banks, 22, of Owings Mills, has been charged with first-degree murder, first degree-rape, and armed robbery.



Homicide detectives determined that Banks went to the home on Shagbark Road to meet with a female.

Once inside the house, Banks stole money and sexually assaulted the woman.

Afterwards, Banks and the deceased victim, identified as Curtis Jerome McKisset, had an argument that resulted in Banks pulling out a handgun and shooting McKisset.

Deontae Banks is being held at the Baltimore County Department of Corrections on denied bail status.
