NOTTINGHAM, MD – The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Warning for portions of Baltimore County.
The Flood Warning will remain in effect until 12:15 a.m.
At just after 9:15 p.m., Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain which will cause flooding, especially in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Up to two inches of rain have already fallen.
Some locations that will experience flooding include Middle River, Chase, Essex, Parkville, Carney, Perry Hall, Rosedale, Rossville, and White Marsh.
Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
