Police investigating Essex/Middle River robberies, burglaries

NOTTINGHAM, MD – Police are investigating several robberies and burglaries that were reported in the Essex/Middle River are over the past week.

At just after 11 a.m. on Friday, August 16, a man was robbed at gunpoint by three individuals in the 1100-block of Hengemihle Avenue in Essex (21221). The suspects stole the victim’s Under Armor duffel bag.



At 5 a.m. on Sunday, August 18, two individuals entered the yard to a business in the 200-block of Earls Road in Middle River (21220) and cut the lock on a storage container.  The suspects entered the container and used an object to cut open bags of oil absorbent.

At just after 9:45 a.m. on Sunday, a known individual assaulted the victim in the 1400-block of Fuselage Avenue in Middle River (21220) and held them on the ground while another suspect took the victim’s cellphone. Both suspects were located and arrested.

At just before 7 a.m. on Monday, August 19, a resident in the 700-block of Maple Crest Drive in Middle River (21220) noticed that the screen to their kitchen window had been cut open and that they were missing their car keys, house keys, and a Bluetooth speaker. The victim’s vehicle was stolen by an unknown suspect.
