NOTTINGHAM, MD – It’s official.
Monday’s high temperatures have officially set a new record.
At just after 3:30 p.m., the National Weather Service announced:
“As of 3pm today, Baltimore Washington Int. Airport (BWI) and Dulles Int. Airport (IAD) broke or tied their record for high temp. BWI’s 99 degree high today broke its previous record of 97 set in 1914 and IAD’s 95 degree high today tied its previous record set in 2002.”
The forecast calls for continued hot weather this week, with high temperatures remaining in the 90s until Friday, when the high is forecast to be around 81 degrees.
