CARNEY, MD – The Joppa Road resurfacing project in the Carney/Perry Hall area is nearly complete, according to Councilman David Marks.
Councilman Marks provided an update on the project on Sunday evening.
“An additional layer of asphalt will be installed,” said Marks. “There are more than 100 utility connections along this route – the manhole covers will eventually be flush with the asphalt.”
The project should wrap up in late August or early September. Weather will likely be a major factor.
“Plans call for additional resurfacing to the west, particularly near Satyr Hill, and along some shorter local routes – but the construction season ends in the late fall,” Marks added. “My focus has been first to fix the larger routes that carry the most traffic.”
