Man robbed at knifepoint in White Marsh, Essex gun shop burglarized

NOTTINGHAM, MD – Police are investigating several robberies and burglaries that were reported this week.

Some time between noon on Sunday, August 4, and 5 p.m. on Tuesday, August 6, an individual broke into a residence in the 100-block of Montrosse Avenue in Essex (21221) by breaking out a window in the rear basement door. The residence was then ransacked and jewelry was stolen in the process.

At 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday, four to five individuals approached a man at a bus stop located at Eastern Boulevard and Taylor Avenue in Middle River (21220). The suspects assaulted the victim and took his cell phone before fleeing the area.



At just after 12:30 a.m. on Wednesday, August 7, a man was riding in a vehicle with two unknown individuals in the area 12100-block of Pulaski Highway in White Marsh (21162). The suspects demanded money and the passenger displayed a knife and threatened the victim. The suspects stole cash from the victim.

Between 12:45 a.m. and 1:15 a.m. on Thursday, August 8, two individuals broke the front window to a gun shop located in the 1600-block of Eastern Boulevard in Essex (21221) and pried open the security gate in the front window. One suspect proceeded to enter the location through the front window. The suspects stole several firearms from the location.

At 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, an individual stole a victim’s phone and keys in front of a residence in the 1400-block of Hadwick Drive in Essex (21221) and then fled on foot.

Between 8:30 & 8:45 p.m. on Thursday, two individuals assaulted a victim and stole cash from their shirt in the 100-block of Back River Neck Road in Essex (21221). Both suspects then fled the scene.
