Flood Warning issued for Baltimore County

NOTTINGHAM, MD – The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Warning for urban areas and small streams in central Baltimore County until 9:30 p.m.

On Wednesday afternoon, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain which will cause flooding.



Up to two inches of rain
have already fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of one to two
inches are possible.

Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other drainage areas and low lying spots.
