Middle River car enthusiast dreams up winning Md. Lottery Racetrax numbers

MIDDLE RIVER, MD – A Honda enthusiast from Middle River had quite a dream last week. The numbers 10, 11, and 12 appeared to him and, because past dreams involving numbers led to Maryland Lottery wins, the loyal player took action.

He won $15,616.50 playing his three dream digits in a Racetrax Trifecta box bet. The 25-year-old placed a 20-draw bet at Kwik Mart in Middle River, that the 10, 11, and 12 horses would finish in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in any order. He wagered 50 cents for each combination per race and hit it big on the 16th race.

“Sometimes people bring the numbers to me in dreams and other times I just see the numbers,” he said. When he wakes up and recalls the numbers, he tries to determine what games they best fit.

The avid Racetrax and scratch-off player is often joined by his mom in playing Maryland Lottery games at different Lottery retailers. He “mixes it up” with his Racetrax bets, sometimes going with a Superfecta wager sometimes with a Trifecta bet. The two also frequent Hollywood Casino Perryville, he said, to see if his dream numbers are lucky. His mom joined him in the Lottery Winner’s Circle as the fast food restaurant manager described his latest round of Maryland Lottery luck.

His prize will go into the bank initially, said the car enthusiast, who enjoys repairing and updating older-model Honda vehicles. He dubbed his win “Happy Honda Days” because Lottery prizes can fund all kinds of updates to his current Honda and help finance his hobby.

His lucky retailer, Kwik Mart, is also a winner. The Baltimore County store located at 901 Middle River Road earns a $156.16 bonus from the Maryland Lottery for selling a winning Racetrax ticket worth $10,000 or more. The bonus is equal to 1 percent of the prize.
