Teen knocked unconscious during Carney robbery, Parkville 7-Eleven robbed

NOTTINGHAM, MD – Police are investigating an assault and a robbery that were reported on Tuesday.

At just before 7 p.m. on July 23, three juveniles approached two other teens in the area of Magledt Road near Hines Road in Parkville/Carney (21234). The suspects asked to borrow the victim’s cell phone. When the victim refused, the suspects punched him in the face.  All three suspects then assaulted him until he blacked out and the suspects stole his phone.  The other victim fled on foot.  The suspects went after him, but the second victim managed to outrun them.  The suspects are described as black males around 13 – 17 years old, according to police.  K-9 and air units searched the area but were unable to locate the suspects.

In a disturbing trend, a man was also beaten unconscious during a separate robbery earlier this week.

At just after 11 p.m., two armed individuals and one other suspect, who acted as a lookout, robbed the 7-Eleven located in the 1300-block of Taylor Avenue in Parkville (21234).  The suspects stole cash and cigarettes, then fled the scene.
