EDGEWOOD, MD – A Harford County scratch-off player on the hunt for a big win captured the $50,000 top prize in the LOTERIA™ Grande game.
One of the two play boards on his $5 instant ticket matched four symbols — the cello, pitcher, flowerpot and umbrella — to give him the big instant win.
The 71-year-old Bel Air resident claimed his prize this week.
He found his lucky game at Edgewood Gas Station located at 1855 Pulaski Highway in Harford County. The Edgewood retailer also has reason to celebrate. For selling the top-prize scratch-off in the game, the retailer earns a $500 bonus from the Lottery. The bonus is equal to one percent of the prize.
The $5 LOTERIA™ Grande game went on sale in March and still has five unclaimed top prizes available. Players can also search for 11 $1,000 prizes and thousands of others ranging from $5 to $500.
