Kingsville Independence Day Parade 2019 schedule, lineup announced

KINGSVILLE, MD – An annual tradition continues this Fourth of July in Kingsville.

The Greater Kingsville Civic Association and The Kingsville Volunteer Fire Company will sponsor the 39th annual Kingsville Independence Day Parade.

Pre-parade music and celebration, sponsored by BrightView Senior Living Perry Hall and PNC Bank, commences 10 a.m. on Thursday, July 4th at the judge’s viewing stand at the corner of Bradshaw Road and Jerusalem Road. A fun-filled hour of entertainment features, Steve Gambrill “The Extreme Balloon Man,” Upper Falls Dance Academy, The Oriole Bird, Baltimore City Pipe Band, and White Tiger Martial Arts 2.

The parade will kick off 10:50 a.m. at the Kingsville Volunteer Fire Company on Bellvue Avenue (formation starting 9:00 a.m.), proceed down Bradshaw Road to Jerusalem Road, and finish at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.



As usual, there will be no rain date. Bradshaw Road and Jerusalem Road will be closed before 9:45 a.m. The air-conditioned facilities of St. John’s Episcopal Church will be open to parade spectators and arrangements for handicapped parking are available by contacting Rev. Elizabeth Sipos at 410-698-5376. Grace Community Church, located at 11611 Belair Road, will also provide convenient additional parking.

Opening ceremonies will be held at the judge’s viewing stand beginning at 11:00 a.m. with Bruce McCubbin, Master of Ceremonies, presiding. The CECOM Color Guard of the U.S. Army will present the flag for the Pledge of Allegiance. Christina Massimei will perform the National Anthem accompanied by the Aberdeen High School Band, under the direction of Kaitlyn Wittman. Weather and operationally permitting, a “fly-over” of Maryland Air National Guard F-10 jets will coincide with the National Anthem.

The Kingsville Independence Day Parade is a grass-roots effort to honor America’s freedoms and to provide a wholesome, family-friendly way to celebrate the holiday. The Parade is presented under the auspices of the Greater Kingsville Civic Association, Inc., the Kingsville Community Alliance, Inc. and the Kingsville Volunteer Fire Company by the Friends of the Kingsville Parade.
