Parkville Precinct displays Caprio tribute

PARKVILLE, MD – Officer Amy Caprio may be gone, but she will never be forgotten.

On Wednesday, her fellow officers at the Parkville Precinct posted to social media, saying that they were displaying a tribute to the Baltimore County Police Department officer who was killed in the line of duty more than a year ago.

The tribute consists of the door to Officer Caprio’s patrol vehicle signed with touching messages from her former colleagues.

On May 21, 2018, Officer Caprio was investigating a suspicious vehicle on Linwen Way that was believed to be connected to a series of burglaries in Perry Hall.

The driver of the vehicle charged forward, running over Officer Caprio.  She sustained fatal injuries.

Dawnta Anthony Harris, 17, has been convicted of first-degree murder. He will be sentenced on July 23rd.

Harris’ three accomplices pleaded guilty to murder earlier this month.

Over the past year, tributes have continued to pour in to honor Officer Caprio.
