Carney industrial accident sends worker to Shock Trauma

UPDATE: The 20-year-old worker ended up losing his arm in the accident. The arm was recovered, however officials have not stated whether or not they will be able to re-attach it.

CARNEY, MD – Crews are on the scene of a Thursday afternoon industrial accident in Parkville.

At just after noon, a man fell into a wood chipper in the 10000-block of Harford Road (21234).

The victim sustained severe injuries to his left arm and a tourniquet was applied.

A Medevac chopper landed at Pine Grove Middle School and has taken the man to Shock Trauma.

There has been no further update on his condition.
