Police provide update on boy struck by vehicle in Bowleys Quarters

MIDDLE RIVER, MD – Police in Baltimore County have provided an update on a crash that severely injured a boy in Bowleys Quarters on Monday morning.

Authorities say the 9-year-old boy suffered potentially life-threatening injuries when he was struck by a vehicle.



Police were called to the scene at about 8:30 a.m. after the boy ran across Carroll Island Road and back.

The child was struck by a Honda Odyssey minivan as he was crossing the second time, just north of Issacs Road.

A Maryland State Police Medevac chopper flew the boy to a local hospital.

The driver of the Honda remained at the scene.

Investigators are reconstructing the crash to determine the factors involved in this incident.
