PERRY HALL, MD – On May 25, Perry Hall resident Donna Stevens lost her home to a tragic house fire.
Stevens lost everything she owned in the blaze, including her Great Dane, Ginger.
Now, her friends have organized a benefit fundraiser to be held at Red Brick Station on The Avenue at White Marsh.
The event will take place on Thursday, June 20, 2019, from 6 to 9 p.m. (in the bar area only – not in the dining area).
Ten percent of attendees’ checks will go toward Stevens’ recovery efforts.
The fundraiser will be open to the public.
“We want to thank everyone for their kindness and generosity,” said Donna Stevens’ daughter, Ann Marie Swigert. “My mom is overwhelmed and grateful to everyone who has donated clothing, gift cards, and for offering their condolences and prayers for the loss of her dog, Ginger, and her home.”
“This loss comes too soon after the loss of our father unexpectedly last year so it is even harder to bear,” Swigert added. “We want to thank every single first responder for the care and compassion they showed for our mother. We feel so blessed to be a part of such an amazing community for the past 28 years. We hear you and we see you and we appreciate you.”
