UPDATE: The photo of a tornado allegedly over the Perry Hall area that was sent to NottinghamMD.com by a reader was apparently a photo of a tornado over Texas. We regret the error, however the extensive damage still seems to indicate possible tornadic activity. We have reached out to the National Weather Service for clarification.

NOTTINGHAM, MD – The Perry Hall and White Marsh areas seemed to experience a “direct hit” from Wednesday evening’s severe storms.
Readers sent in photos of trees and power lines down along Silver Spring Road.
There are multiple power outages throughout the Nottingham area and several roads remain blocked at this hour.
Residents should use caution when venturing out.
