UPDATE: It took crews about 4 hours to extinguish the blaze. The occupant was not home at the time, however her dog did not survive the fire.

NOTTINGHAM, MD – Crews are on the scene of a Saturday morning house fire in Nottingham/Perry Hall.
The fire was reported at about 11:30 a.m. in the 8500-block of Hanf Avenue (21236).
Witnesses reported heavy smoke showing from the residence.
Multiple fire companies are responding to the scene.
Units arrived to find heavy fire in the first and second floors.
There has been no word on any injuries.
Motorists should avoid the area.
