ROSEDALE, MD – Police are investigating after a pedestrian was struck and killed in Rosedale on Wednesday.
At just before 3:30 p.m. on May 15, police responded to a pedestrian-involved crash at the intersection of Pulaski Highway and Rossville Boulevard (21237).
Investigators have determined that the pedestrian, a 44-year-old man, was struck by a 2006 Ford E250 van which was traveling westbound on Pulaski Highway.
The man reportedly entered the path of the van and was struck. The driver of the van remained at the scene. This intersection does not have a crosswalk or a pedestrian signal.
The pedestrian was transported to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
The victim has been identified as George Galen Nelson, III, with no fixed address.
The investigation is on-going at this time.
