NOTTINGHAM, MD – The National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Watch for the entire Nottingham area.
The watch will be in effect from 8 p.m. Saturday through 10 a.m. Sunday (now noon on Sunday).
Scattered to numerous showers and strong-to-possibly severe thunderstorms will develop with a low pressure system on Saturday afternoon and into Sunday morning.
Rain amounts of 1 to 3 inches are expected, with an isolated 4 inches possible in some spots.
The heavy rains could lead to the flooding of small creeks and streams.
Motorists who see water on the roadway are urged to “turn around, don’t drown.”
