UPDATE 2: Police say they received a 911 call for a person with a gun inside a home in the 3000-block of Linwood Avenue. Officers responded and, during an encounter inside the home, one officer was shot in the upper body. That officer is now in surgery. An adult male was located inside the home, deceased from an apparent gunshot wound. Circumstances surrounding both the injured officer and the deceased male are still under investigation.
UPDATE: Authorities now confirm that one officer has been shot and has been taken to Shock Trauma. Their condition is not known at this time.

PARKVILLE, MD – Police are on the scene of an officer-involved shooting in Parkville.
At just before 2 p.m. on Thursday, the Baltimore County Police Department said that there was “heavy police activity” in the 3000-block of Linwood Avenue (21234) due to the incident.
Several area roads are now closed, including Old Harford Road and Taylor Avenue.
No further details have been released.
Motorists should avoid the area.
