Carney woman assaulted while checking mail, attempted robbery reported in Rosedale

Police GraphicPolice are investigating several crimes that were reported over the past week.

At  just after 10 p.m. on Friday, April 26, an individual attempted to steal a woman’s purse while she was checking her mail on Cedarburg Court in Carney (21234).  The suspect assaulted the woman, who was then taken to a hospital for her injuries.



At 5 a.m. on Sunday, April 28, two individuals broke into the fenced-in lot and locked trailers at Ruppert Landscape, located on Harko Court in Middle River (21220) . The suspects stole lawn equipment. After a brief foot pursuit, the two suspects were apprehended.

At just after noon on Monday, April 29, two individuals approached the victims as they were walking in the 5400-block of McCormick Avenue (21206). One suspect displayed a gun, grabbed the victim, then threw him to the ground. The suspects stole the victims’ cellphones before fleeing the scene.

At just before 12:30 p.m. on Monday, two individuals entered Kenwood Liquors, located in the 6200-block of Kenwood Avenue in Rosedale (21237), pushed the store manager, then displayed a gun and demanded cash. The manager refused to comply and told the suspects police were in the parking lot. The suspects fled the scene.
