New Winter Weather Advisory issued, more snow looms on horizon

Winter Weather AdvisoryA fresh, new Winter Weather Advisory has been issued by the National Weather Service for northern Baltimore County.

The advisory will be in effect from 7 p.m. Friday night until 7 a.m. Saturday morning.

Freezing rain expected. Ice accumulations of up to one tenth of an inch are also expected.

Motorists should plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the evening commute.

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow, sleet, or freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Expect slippery roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving.

Another wintry system looms on the horizon for Sunday evening into Monday.

Forecasters say it’s too soon to tell whether the Baltimore area will see rain or snow.  If Baltimore County does end up getting snow, this system could potentially produce the biggest snowfall of the season.
