The Nottingham area could be in for a bit more snow than initially predicted.
The National Weather Service on Saturday morning revised its forecast, saying that the Baltimore area could see as much as 4 – 8 inches around the region.
A Winter Storm Warning has just been issued for the Nottingham area, replacing the previously-issued Winter Weather Advisory.
The Winter Storm Warning will be in effect from 7 p.m. Saturday until 6 p.m. Sunday.
The NWS had previously predicted 2 – 4 inches for the area.
Temperatures are a bit colder than initially forecast, which could lead to additional “fluff factor,” and the storm has slowed down a bit.
The winter blast also over-performed in Missouri.
Snow should begin falling last Saturday afternoon and continue through the morning on Sunday.
Officials are urging resident to stay home during the storm and avoid driving unless absolutely necessary.
