Police investigate shooting on Whitby Road, reward offered

shooting-news-graphicPolice are attempting to determine the circumstances surrounding a shooting that occurred on Wednesday night along Whitby Road.

Officers from the White Marsh Precinct responded to the area of Whitby Road near Van Dyke Road (21206) after the victim knocked on a resident’s door asking for help.

The victim, a 23-year-old man, said he had been walking along Whitby Road at around 9:45 p.m. when he heard gunshots, then realized he’d been struck.

The victim was taken to an area hospital with at least one gunshot wound to the lower body and is expected to survive his injuries.

Police are asking anyone who may have heard gunshots or who may have seen anything out of the ordinary to call 410-307-2020.



A reward is being offered in connection with this case.
