Police have arrested the man responsible for a November 27th shooting on Back River Neck Road near Torhat Court in Essex (21221).

The suspect has been identified as Troy Peay, 18, of the 6800-block of Averill Road in Rosedale (21237).

At about 9:45 p.m. on November 27th, police responded to the area of Back River Neck Road near Torhat Court for a report of a shooting.

At the scene, officers found a 34-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper body. The victim was taken a local hospital and was expected to survive his injuries. No update has been provided on the victim’s condition.

Peay has been charged with attempted first-degree murder, first-degree assault, and armed robbery.

He is currently being held at the Baltimore County Department of Corrections on denied bail status.
