The White Marsh Volunteer Fire Company has unveiled a new holiday event that take place later this month.
Santa Stops Here will begin at 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 24, when Santa Claus arrives at WMVFC’s new station via fire truck.
Afterward, there will be crafts, cookies, hot chocolate, and an opportunity for children to deliver their letters to Santa.
There will also be an inaugural Christmas lighting of the new station at dusk.
WMVFC says this event will be the start of a new tradition that will replace the annual neighborhood visits.
The logistics of the neighborhood visits had become cumbersome as station officials say they now respond to over 4,000 emergency calls per year.
The new White Marsh station is located at 10331 Philadelphia Road (21162).
