Crews are on the scene of a Tuesday night house fire in Essex.

The fire was reported at about 8 p.m. on Russell Frost Court (21221).

Units arrived to find smoke showing and a fire in a bedroom.

The flames have been doused.

One elderly female was rescued and had been taken to a local hospital in serious condition.

Three police officers were also taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
