The Maryland Law Enforcement Special Olympics Torch Run is coming to Harford County on Tuesday.
The run to support the Maryland Special Olympics will begin at 7:30 a.m. at the Lock House in Havre de Grace and will come to an end along Route 40 at the Baltimore County line at around 1 p.m.
Thousands of law enforcement officers and Special Olympics athletes across the state have been running the Flame of Hope™ hundreds of miles, culminating at the Summer Games Opening Ceremony on Friday, June 8, at Towson University.
Since its inception in 1986, the Maryland Law Enforcement Torch Run has raised more than $30 million for Special Olympics Maryland in support of its mission to provide quality sports training and competition to Maryland’s children and adults with intellectual disabilities.
