Police investigating two robberies, two commercial burglaries

Police LightsPolice are investigating two robberies and two commercial burglaries that were reported over the past week.

At 6 p.m. on Tuesday, May 22, an individual entered the Oertel-Engles Inc. unsecured construction trailer located in the 10700 block of White Trillium Road (21236). Once inside, the suspect stole tools and construction equipment and then fled.



Sometime between 4 p.m. on Friday, May 25, and 7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 29, an individual entered the Adventure Solutions located in the 8800 block of Kelso Drive in Essex (21221) and stole a laptop computer and various power tools from the office and warehouse area.

At 1:40 p.m. on Tuesday, an individual walked into the Sandy’s C-Mart, located in the 100 block of Back River Neck Road in Essex (21221). Implying a gun, the suspect forced an employee towards the cash register and stole cash from the cash register. The suspect then fled the scene on a bicycle.

At 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday, two individuals met with a seller from an online marketplace to purchase an off-road vehicle in the 9700 block of Community Drive in Middle River (21220). One of the suspects pointed a gun at the victim and the other drove off with the off-road vehicle. The other suspect left in another vehicle.
