The National Weather Service in Sterling Virginia has issued a Flash Flood Warning for the Nottingham area.
The flood warning is in effect until 10:45 p.m. on Sunday.
The NWS says that Doppler radar indicates heavy rain that will cause flooding. Up to two inches of rain have already fallen and an
additional 1 to 2 inches of rain are expected within the next
hour.
Flooding of low-lying areas is expected as well as creeks
and streams rising out of their banks.
Some locations that may experience flooding include Middle River, Essex, Parkville, Carney, Perry Hall, Fallston, Nottingham, White Marsh, and Kingsville.
