Councilman Marks: Interim County Executive Don Mohler briefing County Council

News AlertAs flood waters rage across portions of Baltimore County on Sunday, elected officials want the public to know that they are staying on top of the situation.

Baltimore County Councilman David Marks told NottinghamMD that interim Baltimore County Executive Don Mohler had been briefing members of the County Council throughout the day on Sunday.



County Executive Mohler was also passing along reports from police, firefighters, and emergency personnel in real-time.

Two separate water rescues took place in the Perry Hall area on Sunday, one in the Seven Courts community and one at Gunpowder Falls State Park.

A portion of Belair Road was also shut down due to flooding.

Major flooding was also reported in Mt. Washington, Dundalk, and in historic Ellicott City.  Portions of the beltway have also become flooded and are impassable.

A flash flood warning is in effect for the area until 10:45 p.m.
