Man arrested after firing shots in Nottingham area

Paul Matthew Hucik IIA man has been arrested and charged after firing shots in the Nottingham area last week.

On Wednesday, May 9, police responded to a call for shots fired in the 8500 block of Rhuddlan Road (21236).



A witness had taken down the license plate number of the suspected shooter, which helped officers locate the shooter’s vehicle at the registered owner’s home on Glamis Garth (21236).

K-9 units were dispatched to the scene to assist in the search for the suspect at the time of the call.

With the help of numerous witnesses accounts, police determined that the suspect had fired a gun while driving in the area.

The suspect, identified as Paul Matthew Hucik II, 28, was arrested at 10:50 a.m. on May 9th.

Police do not believe he had any specific target. Hucik has been charged with reckless endangerment, destruction of property, and handgun violations.

He was initially held without bail at his first bail hearing and later released on his own recognizance at a bail review hearing on Thursday, May 10th.
