TOWSON, MD. – The Maryland State Department of Education has granted Baltimore County Public Schools an eight-hour waiver from the state requirement of 1,170 high school instructional hours on the condition that it increase its high school hours in the 2018-2019 school year.
As a result, Baltimore County Public Schools has announced that five minutes will be added to the end of the school day for all schools for the 2018 – 2019 school year.
Start and end times for all schools will be communicated by the end of the 2017-2018 school year.
