Police seeking information on fatal motorcycle crash in Rosedale

fatal-crashPolice in Baltimore County are looking for an individual who may have been involved in a fatal late-night crash involving a motorcyclist on Philadelphia Road in the Rosedale area on Wednesday, April 25.

Police are looking for the driver of a gray or silver, sedan-type vehicle that was traveling westbound on Philadelphia Road at about 11:30 p.m. The driver may have unwittingly struck the motorcyclist, who rear-ended the vehicle in front of him at Kenwood Avenue and was ejected from the motorcycle, landing in the center turn lane.

Authorities believe the gray or silver sedan may have attempted to go around the site of the crash and struck the motorcyclist as it continued westbound on Philadelphia Road. The motorcyclist, identified as Michael James Genco, 53, of the 1200 block of Berk Avenue in Rosedale (21237), was taken to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center where he later died.

Police are asking anyone who may have information on the driver of the gray or silver sedan to contact police at 410-307-2020.
